This Toyota Tundra Optitron gauge cluster is programmed to flex fuel trucks. These trucks have a different fuel sender. This cluster will show a much longer range when installed in trucks without flex fuel and you will run out of fuel. The second photo of 450 miles until empty on a full tank shows if this cluster is installed into a non-flex fuel truck which equates to about 1/4 tank more than you actually have.
If you need the non flex fuel gauge cluster it is linked below.
This cluster fits 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 Tundra. Although this instrument cluster is removed from a Limited flex fuel model and has a transmission temperature gauge, it can be installed in any 2007-2013 Toyota Tundra regardless of the instrument cluster originally installed as long as you have flex fuel.
Flex fuel part number you will receive: 83800-0CM00
You will need to install the Limited combo switch which has Info/Select Reset/Setup on it to scroll through the cluster screen.
If you have sonar/parking sensors then you need to buy: 84977-0C090
If you do not have parking sensors then you need to buy: 84977-0C020
Tips:
- If your distance to empty and fuel data display is blank then your truck is missing the CAN data lines going to the cluster. Check your cluster connector for a yellow wire and a white wire on pins 21 and 22. If they are missing you will need to add them between your cluster and body ECU to enable your fuel data.
Common issues that can be solved with a replacement Toyota Tundra Optitron instrument cluster include:
- Total power loss
- Gauges not working or moving correctly
We also offer a 2007 – 2013 Toyota Tundra Instrument Cluster SR5 with Transmission Temperature for customers that wish to stick with the original orange backlighting look!
