The Lexus LS460 was introduced in 2007 to replace the LS430. While many people prefer the LS430 the technology in the LS460 was hard to give up. The navigation, climate control, and gauge cluster were all new and more modern.  The car used the 4.6L motor which offered much more lower end torque.  It used timing chains versus timing belts which are far more difficult to replace.

There are not many failures with this gauge cluster. Lexus seemed to figure things out. Most of the replacements done are from damage, theft, or KPH to MPH conversions.

We do see gauge failure and center information screen failures from time to time so a replacement might be a good idea to eliminate these issues from arising in the future.
