2001-2005 Civic clusters were made very specific to different models. Whether your Civic had 2 doors or 4, AT vs MT, ABS, no ABS, Side airbags or without, all of these matter when replacing the cluster. Many of the gauge face overlays are colored different as well between the DX, EX, LX trims. The DX model was unique as the wiring was not changed from 2001-2005.  On the other models however, only 2001-2002 were compatible with each other.  In 2003 through 2005 wiring was completely changed and the cluster designs were different.

These gauge clusters suffered from total power loss, backlighting fading or dimming to yellow, gauge movement issues, and other quality of life issues.
