This is a brand new digital electronic replacement for the discontinued air core motor (F) for GM, GMC, & Chevy instrument clusters. The F air core “stepper” motor is used for the fuel gauge for 1995-1998 models and some limited 1999-2002 models.
This automotive gauge stepper motor is a complete plug and play replacement for the original GM air core motor (F) of the 1990’s. The benefits include smoother and more precise movement and a lack of oil to leak out of it. We know you will be highly satisfied with this new replacement motor. With enough interest, we can carry the other motors in this same electronic style.
This automotive gauge stepper motor is a complete plug and play replacement for the original GM air core motor (F) of the 1990’s”, This gauge is all digital, no need to do anything else other than follow the video that we have. Do not need to transfer resistor
1999-2002 models primarily use the (C) motor. Please ensure you are purchasing the correct motor for your gauge cluster.
Gauge motor letter mark and gauge position
S- Speedometer (MPH)
S – Tachometer (RPM)
T – Temperature
P – Oil Pressure
V – Voltage
S – Trans Temp
F – Fuel,1995-1998
C – 1999-2002 (rarely will these have an “F” motor)
If this brand new motor does not work in your gauge cluster it is one of these causes:
- User installation error
- SKU is not under the fitment range, original motor is not labeled “F”, or installed into an incorrect gauge location
- Instrument cluster is the problem (circuit board), not a motor problem.
- The problem is outside the cluster
