This service will repair your Mercedes mechanical odometer that does not advance anymore. Many Mercedes vehicles from the 1970s through the 1990s used plastic gears to spin the odometer and trip meter. The problem is that these gears become very brittle over the years with use and heat. Once this happens pieces of the gears fracture, break off, or become lodged inside the assembly.

This is why the speedometer needle will still spin, but the odometer will not advance.
